I'll try to get a pic today. I've been down with the flu the last few days.

Ok, took longer than I planned, but finally I am ready. I am immediately drawn to books that feature covers that look like something I'd like to frame and hang on my wall, whether they have actual classic art on their covers or just have that sort of look.

Here's what I'm talking about:



The Nora Roberts is the only one I haven't yet read, but I do have it earmarked for a bingo square.

I still need to do this. Those are gorgeous covers. I'd be tempted by them too.

I'm not often swayed by the beauty of a book, I must say, but that's a step too far! *g*

Oh yeah! I've seen that! That's so impractical and boring! I loved the mixed colours and size of a filled bookshelves! And to be honest, I'm not that fond of that trend about neutrals colors in decoration in general!

Oh, I have this really gorgeous copy of Persuasion (aka my favourite Jane Austen novel) that I bought from a local independent bookseller when I first moved here – it was largely an impulse-buy because I was feeling sad about leaving my old city, but it's one of my favourite books (aesthetically as well as content-wise) in my collection. It's a tiny, pocket-sized edition in powder blue with a gorgeous painting on the front and gilt-edged pages.
