There is not one particular book that I give as a gift but I do gift books. The last book I bought as a gift was for my son's secret santa. His group of friends all participate and he got a girl who loves to read. I asked her sister for suggestions (because I always want to try to find out what someone likes to read) and ended up with The Crimes of Grindelwald - The Original Screenplay by JK Rowling, of course! My son said she loved it! *win for mom*

Murderbot! I've lost track of the number of people I've given the first one to (and how many times I've recommended it on my library's Facebook page.)

I don't give one particular book as a gift to everyone, but I love giving books as gifts. I gave my mother a book for her birthday at the beginning of the month, and I have one to give to my dad for his birthday next week.

I always try to give books that I know the person will love, or that I've loved.
The last book I gave was to my friend for her baby shower, Giraffes Can't Dance.

Minions love this book. I especially love kids books that are poetic and teach a lesson.

(Sorry, I can't get it any smaller. Picture isn't cooperating.)

Thank you for that suggestion. I've just ordered it for my granddaughter for Easter.

I don't have a "go-to book" as I try to gift something specific for each person. Still, there is one book in French that is a great gift for a bookworm: "Une histoire de la lecture" from Alberto Manguel. It's a historical view on reading and it's truly enjoyable!

I don't give books as gifts because my friends are lame and most of them don't read. Hahahaha.

haha My friends here do but the majority of mine don't and neither do my family. It's a crying shame! lol I had to join my library's friends group and my home town book club to make new friends. :)

Same here, none of my IRL friends read or, if they do, they reread the same old things. Which is fine, but leaves me with little to talk about. Haha. I need to do something like that as well. It'd get me out of the house more. :D
