I read The Magicians by Lev Grossman last summer and it felt very much like a summer book. Bright, upbeat vibes.

For the covers, I've put pictures here: https://ljbookbingo.livejournal.com/15509.html

I don't really think of anything that would make a read feel "summery"... When I was younger and we went abroad for the summer holidays, my parents would read SAS books for my father and Agatha Christie for my mother. I was reading comics magazines. But now, I don't feel like my reading change with the seasons.

I don't think I have a favorite cover, but one of my recent faves was this one.

There's too many gorgeous covers out there for me to choose just one favorite, but...pretty much any book from this series definitely qualifies.

As far as summer reading, I pretty much read whatever, whenever, lol. The only time I try to make my reads match the season is during the two months of Halloween Bingo.

Like the comment above, my favorite cover is a series of covers. It's from The Realms of the Elderlings series by Robin Hobb. Specifically the Rain Wild Chronicles (https://www.goodreads.com/series/49413-rain-wild-chronicles). This is the first cover:

The covers just get more gorgeous as the series progresses.

My favorite reading spot is our front porch. In the summer I sit in a rocking chair there and read for hours on end. I even have a category for what I consider to be "Porch Books" - They are fun, easy reads. This summer I plan to read the Easy Rawlins Series (https://www.goodreads.com/series/53392-easy-rawlins) by Walter Mosley. It's going to be fun. I read the first book years ago, loved it and finishing the series is one of my bucket-list tasks. Mosley is an awesome detective/noir genre writer.

The Heavenly Horse From the Outermost West by Mary Stanton. Middle school me saw this book at the library and that was it. :D

I don't really have any 'summer' reads, just working on challenges and getting through the TBR stack.

I don't have a particular cover that comes to mind, but I love covers that intrigue and catch my attention but don't give away too much of the story. The last cover I can really remember doing so is Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend. If you ignore the hype, it's a good book.

I don't have any summer books..I've never considered reading seasonally other than, I used to read Harry Potter every winter near Christmas. ;p
