Can't Wait Wednesday Book Meme!

Got this idea from this website of different book memes for the days of the week and thought it might be good for us to do. So feel free to join in!

Anyway, for Can't Wait Wednesday, let us discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. It might be a book that's sitting on our to be read pile, a book that we've seen at the book shop or an up-coming book that we’e excited to read! Feel free to comment below and respond to others' answers :)

Becoming was excellent. I got it as an audio book, so I got to listen to Michelle Obama tell me her own story.

The audiobook of Becoming was great. She has such a relaxing voice.

That smile book sounds interesting. Is it The Girl with the Lost Smile? I can't find anything else by Hart.

There are two books I'm really waiting for :

- "Wayward Son", Rainbow Rowell : This is the sequel to "Carry On"
- "The Hanged Man" KD Edwards : this is the sequel to "The Last Sun"
They are coming out in September.

I'm also quite excited about reading the two last published books in the Rivers of London series : "Lies sleeping" and "The October Man".

Big second to "The October Man" - I didn't realize that had come out. This is an amazing series. Guess I know what I was holding onto this month's Audible credit for.

The Murder on the Rockport Limited graphic novel came out today and I've heard tantalizing things about some changes they made for the GN adaptation. (And it turns out I didn't actually pre-order it like I thought I had, so I gotta go snap it up from the store before I get spoiled!)

Two books by John Doe and other about one of my favorite bands X and the Los Angeles punk scene More Fun in the Real World and Under the Big Black Sun are in my house and are next in line. X is the band I've seen the most and that's the scene I was in during the 70's and 80's so I'm hoping they really capture a vibrant, exciting time and place I remember fondly.

I giddily anticipate everything by Molly Harper and she has two more books coming out this year: Fledgling, the second novel in the Sorcery and Society series, comes out next week and Peace, Blood, and Understanding, the next book in the Half-Moon Hollow series, comes out in October.

I also desperately need to find time to read some (all) of my TBR books - but these are at the top of the list right now:
- Renegades by Marissa Meyer
- Spellcast by Barbara Ashford
- The Magicians series by Lev Grossman (addicted to the TV show and want to read the source material - I know it'll be different)

If you don't mind a spoiler, Renegades starts with something bad I couldn't get past.

Don't tell me what it is!

To each their own. I have several friends who couldn't put it down and highly recommend it.

I won't.

Me too. I was really looking forward to reading it. I loved all her other books but..this was something I wish I'd been warned about. I tend to over-visualize and I hope it's not a button for you.
Let me know if the bad thing is a one time thing or comes up again? Because I do think the book sounds cool.

Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness. The second book in the All Souls Trilogy. Can't wait to read it. Just don't have time right now.

Reticence, The Tyrant's Tomb and Fruits Basket Another.

Pretty sure they're all conclusion books so I'm pretty excited. :D
