It's February! What are you reading?

Currently I am reading The Guest List by Lucy Foley for my local book club and and I am listening to The House of Kennedy by James Patterson. Both are really good so far!

I've also managed to fill in seven squares for the mini challenge so far. How is everyone else doing? Are you finding the challenge easy or hard?

I've heard The Guest List is good!

Just finished The Wrong Family by Tarryn Fisher and it wasn't too bad. Not nearly as good as The Wives was. Now I'm reading A Curious Incident by Vicki Delaney. After that, I need to move away from the mysteries for a bit. :)

It is pretty good so far!

Oh I'll have to add The Wrong Family. I really liked The Wives!

Sometimes mysteries can get a bit overwhelming after a while. lol

I'm happy to hear that!

It was pretty wacked, to say the least! I loved The Wives though, one of those total OMG WTF DID I JUST READ kind of books.

Exactly. I have a cowboy romance novel over here calling my name now. Hahaha.

Oh I know!! I am still not exactly sure what I actually read with The Wives! It was so good but dang who was telling the truth?! LOL

Oh I love cowboy romances, especially set in the 1800s.

I know, I wanted the husband to be lying, and he still could be but I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO THINK! But, that's the sign of a really good writer.

Same! :)

I've read The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley and enjoyed it well enough, so I'm curious as to what you think of this one.

I'm currently reading Murder at the Mill by Irina Shapiro and Cibola Burn by James S.S. Corey.

I am reading The Frangipani Tree Mystery, which takes place in 1930's Singapore and so far is really good.

I've seen the Guest List talked about a lot so it will be interesting to see what you think of it.

That book sounds really interesting. I don't know much about the 1930s, let alone Singapore!

Thanks! I like it so far!

Just started Running With the Demon, by Terry Brooks, and American Ulysses: A Life of Ulysses S. Grant, by Ronald C. White Jr.

I have several squares filled in, but have a ways to go. The books I'm reading don't always fill a square.

I've got an ARC of The Guest List that I still haven't started.
I just finished A Taste for Love by Jennifer Yen early this morning. Good, but not outstanding, but not my usual genre either.
I'm done with the bingo (posted on the original thread) and I really enjoyed it. :)

The Guest List sounds really interesting.

I just finished The Ruins by Scott Smith. It got off to a slow start, but turned out to be really good. It's creepy.

I've filled 5 of my squares, so I'm on track. :)

Unless you are in the middle of a global pandemic.... I have never been so grateful for my full bookshelves. Thoroughly enjoying re-reading a selection of my favourites - halfway through my Georgette Heyer's at the moment.

At some point I will have something to add here, but so far I haven't read any books this year. That doesn't mean I'm not reading, just not reading *books*. Still trying to get on top of my ridiculous backlog of archaeology, astronomy, history and writing magazines. It's getting there, but the pesky things insist on sending me a new issue every month!!
